Miranda Parker - Lead Drama Facilitator

 

Miranda is an experienced teacher of the Performing Arts, specialising in acting.  She is a creative and committed facilitator who is an expert in directing and producing work with young creatives.  Miranda is a co-founder of Dare to Know Theatre, dedicated to bringing new writing and thought-provoking work to northern stages, that challenges ourselves as artists and the audience.  The company is committed to making work with and for the local community.

Catherine Sharp - Youth Theatre Manager

Catherine Sharp has a background in administration and management with 35 years of experience working in the NHS.

Catherine's passion is theatre and she trained as a dancer from a very early age.  She progressed through dancing and ensemble work to principal acting roles and then directing.

She has been part of Crompton Stage Society and Playhouse 2 since 1993 and founded the youth theatre in 2014 along with Elaine and Peter Rosebury.

She believes that theatre skills build confidence, communication, tolerence and discipline which are transferable life skills for the future.

The youth theatre students are also the tomorrow of Playhouse 2.
