We are looking forward to welcoming students old and new to our youth theatre.
In our autumn term we are going to recap the work we started in ensemble work and stage combat.
The autumn term will comprise of nine workshops:
Workshops are run on Saturday mornings and are divided into three age groups:
Mini Stars (ages 6 to 9) - 9am to 9.45 m
Midi Stars (ages 10 to 13) - 9.45am to 11.15am
Major Stars (ages 14 to 18) - 11.15am to 12.45pm
There are 20 places on each workshop.
What we have planned
Ensemble work with stage combat
This term students will learn how to work together to create an ensemble piece of theatre.
Part of this will include being taught stage combat techniques by professional Stage Combat instructor, Kaitlin Howard.
Using what they have learnt, the students will then work together to devise and choreograph their ensemble, which will include some stage combat scenes, to tell Jules Verne’s classic story, ’Around the World in 80 Days’.
Whilst building an ensemble students will learn how to work together as a team in a safe space where they feel comfortable exploring ideas and expressing their creativity.
We feel this is the perfect topic to welcome back existing students and introduce new students to our Youth Theatre.
Fees are collected per term in full. For the Autumn 2021 nine-week term the fees are as follows:
Mini Stars: £36 (£27 second/subsequent siblings)
Midi & Major Stars: £54 (£40.50 second/subsequent siblings)
Workshops missed for sickness or holidays cannot be reimbursed. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation you will be contacted by email and reimbursed accordingly.
Students from spring term 2020 are owed a refund for three workshops. This will be shown as a discount in the invoice for autum term 2021.

Membership and Future Terms
Once accepted as a member of the youth theatre, students will be enrolled and invoices will be issued automatically for all future terms unless we are instructed otherwise.
We would be grateful if you would let us know as soon as possible if students are not going to attend future terms as this frees up places for new students.
